FEE STRUCTURE AND POLICY

The Law Office of Al Meyer utilizes a varying fee structure to provide the best value for our clients.

Flat Fees

Unlike many firms we endeavor to charge flat fees for as many services as possible. We believe that up-front pricing of services allows our clients a great deal of predictability when it comes to legal fees and assists in budgeting for start-up and expansion projects.   Flat fees are typically charged for preparation and review of documents and large projects such as business start-ups and purchase and sales of a practice or business.  Also, flat fees are charged for preparation of memoranda’s of law discussing the impact on certain laws and regulations affecting your business.

Hourly Billing

There are some cases, however, when we may be unable to predict with any degree of certainty the fees for other situations.  These include instances where it is necessary to negotiate with third parties and engage in discussions with government officials, accountants, consultants and other business advisors.

We are sure that you will agree that our experience and knowledge have tremendous value, just like knowledge and skill you bring to your patients or customers.  Accordingly, we charge for telephone calls and emails where substantive legal issues are discussed.  We bill in tenth of an hour increments based on the hourly rate of the professional handling your matter.   Our hourly rates are extremely competitive when compared with other health care firms/attorneys.  Currently, the firm has the following hourly fee schedule for its attorneys: Albert R. Meyer $385.00

General Counsel Program

For businesses that use our services regularly, we encourage you to take part in our general counsel program.  For a monthly fee that is significantly discounted from our regular fees (10% to as much as 25% depending on how much you use us), we will develop a plan that is customized to fit your business needs and budget.   Programs are available for as low as $1,000.00 per month.

Flat Fee Schedule:

MD/DC START UP

$3,500 – $4,500 PLUS STATE FILING FEES

Includes formation of business entities, preparation of all documents and telephone consultations relating to the start-up. Negotiations and discussions with third parties will be charged on an hourly basis.

CORPORATE/LLC FORMATION

$500 PLUS STATE FILING FEES

Includes by-laws, obtaining tax id, s-corp election, and initial meeting minutes

ANNUAL CORPORATE MAINTENANCE.

$500 PLUS STATE FILING FEES

Includes annual meeting minutes, services as registered agent, and filing of annual reports

PREPARATION OF BASIC EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENTS

$850-$1,500

Includes one set of revisions and a consultation discussing the agreement. Negotiations and discussions with third parties will be charged on an hourly basis.

PREPARATION OF PHYSICIAN PARTNERSHIP/LIMITED PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT

$1,500 AND UP

Includes one set of revisions and a consultation discussing the agreement.Negotiations and discussions with third parties will be charged on an hourly basis

REVIEW OF EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENTS
